The couple chose the Glen Flora Country Club at 2200 N Sheridan Road in Waukegan, IL. According to the Glen Flora Country Club website, they are centrally located near Lake Forest, Green Oaks, and Libertyville. They are considered one of the premier wedding venues in Lake County. The staff there knows just what all of your wedding guests will expect, they plan to deliver “the best” in all things. The staff hopes to do everything possible to make sure that the wedding arrangements are perfect to match the best day of the couple’s lives

The Glen Flora Country Club says that ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners are managed with the utmost care by experienced Banquet Staff. They can handle large events and intimate affairs.

The City

Waukegan, IL is just south of Chicago. It’s actually county seat and is considered part of the Chicago Metropolitan Area. There are nearly 90,000 people living in Waukegan, so it will have all of the conveniences your wedding guests have come to expect; however, it does offer a smaller town feel than the windy city. The Floating World Gallery truly is a work of art itself. The wedding and reception area can be molded to suit the modern of weddings or to accommodate a more traditional flare. The space even has on-site storage for flowers and decorations, making it easy to have everything coordinated on site.

Kathy and Willy wanted a short and sweet wedding ceremony followed by a casual and cool party—and that’s just what they got.  The Chicago couple wanted their Fiona Image wedding photographer to capture the candid moments of the fun night, nothing too traditional or posed, just eye-catching moments to last a lifetime.

The Venue

The couple chose the Concord Fifty Five in Chicago IL.  It’s located at 1355 W. Concord Place, Chicago, IL 60642 and offers industrial views not normally seen in traditional ceremonies.  But those unusually and raw sides of Chicago are just what this couple wanted for their short and sweet wedding.  According to the venue’s web page, “Concord Fifty Five offers a stunning raw space that provides the pliancy and flexibility to facilitate a variety of events.”

Guests enter the venue through a “dazzling landscaped” courtyard featuring seasonal foliage, Fuego 6 burner grille, and patio.  The Concord Fifty Five main room shows off the original brick, exposed beams and floor to ceiling windows. The staff says it can “suit your needs to accommodate weddings, receptions, showers, birthday parties, special occasion dinner parties or business meetings or anything else.”  The experienced team works closely with the couple throughout the planning process to ensure a “seamless and outstanding” experience.
